It's like the song that doesn't end.

I finally reached day 3 of my new cycle and went in to have a scan. I was feeling great, over my OHSS and thinking I would be able to do an embryo transfer.

Well no.

My ovaries are still very enlarged and there are still a lot of follicles hanging about. I will have to wait another 5 weeks until I can do the transfer.

Just gutted.

This whole process is taking sooo much longer than I ever imagined and taking a toll on my energy levels. Hard to keep motivated. Just gotta keep my head up, but sometimes I just wanna stay in bed all day and cry.

  1. Keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life's a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about!! You are a strong amazing woman, who can get through anything, remember that! :)

    1. Thanks anon! Am trying to get on with the days ahead with a smile on my face. I can get through this, I know, but I also know that it's ok for me to be sad too! It's a tough journey :)

  2. It is natural to get a bit down in the dumps about fertility challenges. It is what most women want most in the whole world and you don't even realise it until the prospect is threatened in any way. At least you are young and have lots & lots f time to make it happen. And you will become a mum, try to have faith in that. It will happen.
